MLA Gogi, MC Chief and NHAI officials conduct joint inspection at elevated road project

Ludhiana, February 2

With an aim to expedite the ongoing works under the elevated road project on Ludhiana-Ferozepur Highway, Ludhiana West MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Dr Shena Aggarwal and Ludhiana Project Director (PD) of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) KL Sachdeva conducted joint inspections at the construction sites on Thursday.

Conducting inspections at different sites on Ferozepur road and link road (Bus stand road), MLA Gogi and MC Commissioner Dr Aggarwal stated that the NHAI officials have been directed to expedite the ongoing works and complete the project within the stipulated deadline of July 31. 

The officials were directed to ensure timely removal of debris from roadsides to facilitate smooth movement of traffic. 

MLA Gogi stated that the officials have been directed to expedite the work and deliberations are also being done to encourage greenery under the project, wherever possible. Soon a meeting will also be held with NHAI officials to review the progress of the project. 

The legislator further stated the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led state government is committed for the overall development of the state. All the projects are being regularly monitored to keep a check on the quality of works and ensure that the projects are completed within stipulated deadlines.

MC Superintending Engineer Sanjay Kanwar, Executive Engineer Balwinder Singh, NHAI Deputy Manager (Ludhiana), Navreet Singh among others were also present during the field inspections.
